My hands arrive on my body. Warm hands resting on my soft belly. We meet each other, my feminine body and me. Her untamed breath rising and widening to greet me. And my inner eyes, blinking open in the dark, as we fall into each other.
Today I want to share with you one of the practices I use to sustain my connection to my Inner Woman™ on the daily. My yoga mat has been my pilgrimage place since my early teens. Although my yoga practice and teaching has evolved and transformed, it has always been my place for coming home to myself.
This Inner Woman™ Yoga practice is short and sweet. These short mini practices, I like to call Body Prayers. They are usually less than 10 minutes long, and designed to drop you into your womanly body, awaken your sensual presence, and reconnect with the untamed wisdom of your body.
All you need for this practice is a comfortable place to lie down. You can use your yoga mat, but you can also do this gentle practice in the comfort of your bed. It’s a treat to both start and end the day deeply at home in your womanly body. This mini-yoga-practice will help you do just that.
